| To alleviate pain more doctors and patients alike are leaning toward complementary and alternative medicine. In the United States alone 36% of adults are now trying some form of alternative medicine therapy. Complimentary and alternative medicine treatments such as acupuncture, movement therapies such as tai chi or qi gong along with herbal mixtures are becoming more widely accepted by a large percentage of people and more accepting of alternative medicine practitioners. In some instances the services are becoming interchangeable as the practices begin to overlap more and more. Patients are looking for an assortment of different ways to take care of their painful conditions as they have first tried conventional medicine and then turn to alternative medicine for answers. |
