restless leg syndromeRestless Leg Syndrome or RLS is an urge to move the legs and is sometimes accompanied by uncomfortable and unpleasant sensations in the leg. It is more common in women, usually worse during rest, inactivity and at night. Symptoms are partially or totally relieved by movement.

Other treatments are reducing or eliminating all caffeine beverages and chocolate. Stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Reduce any stimulants including over the counter cold medications. Try massaging the leg, warm or cold baths and compresses. Vitamin B, Valerian root and Kava may help as well as iron as some believe an iron deficiency could be one cause of RLS.
