The majority of people in America are more likely to choose a traditional doctor over alternative medicine health care but the affects of both have worked. The question is “Why choose alternative medicine health care?” instead of going to the local doc. Well, the first thing people have to realize is that science is only science if it can be proven false. That kind of thinking applied to any medical situation that is not fixed by a doctor’s first prescription or diagnosis makes more sense.  I believe that the most credible testimonies come from those crazy stories from people diagnosed with fatal ailments overcome by some non-traditional source.

An example coming to mind at the moment is using marijuana as a pain reliever in cancer cases. Traditional medicine is beginning to accept this treatment but if you ask certain people if there are any pain relieving or positive aspects of weed they would laugh in your face. Anyone that has ever relaxed with a joint can vouch for the positive effects. Alternative medicine health care needs to be at least considered. The definition of alternative medicine may be broad but within those words could be hope for a cure.
