 What is alternative medicine?
The definition of alternative medicine includes health care and treatment practices, including traditional Chinese
medicine, chiropractic, folk medicine, and naturopathy, that minimize
or eschew the use of surgery and drugs. (Source: Dictionary.com)
Although
the word was coined between 1980-1985, alternative medicine health care
was the sole form of medical treatment of many cultures for thousands
of years.
Today, many people are implementing forms of
complementary and alternative medicine into their conventional medical
regimen. A moderate user of alternative medicine, may have an
integrative approach towards alternative medicine and may have both an
alternative medicine doctor and a conventional family physician.
We
are currently living within an age when an increasing amount of people
are taking steps towards becoming healthy. Whether it's eating organic
foods or physically exercising, people are becoming more self conscious
about the way they treat their bodies. Along with this common migration
towards becoming healthy, many people are experimenting with
alternative medicine.
What's the best way to go about in purchasing alternative medicine?
It's highly important to visit a credible alternative medicine doctor
who has received their diploma from a legitimate institution. An
alternative medicine doctor will save you time, money, and maybe even
your health.
I cannot stress the importance of visiting an
alternative medicine doctor. There are many multi-level marketing
companies and other organizations that are attempting to exploit that
purchasing power of alternative medicine through hiking up the prices,
while depriving customers of the best and purest form of alternative medicine.
Think of visiting an alternative medicine doctor as an
investment. Ask questions and receive the best knowledge possible on
where to get the best deals, and the best alternative medicine for your
health. Also, many alternative medicine doctors provide you with their
individual attention, as well as individual health care, diagnosis, and
prescription. Not everyone needs the same forms of alternative medicine
and many alternative medicine doctors recognize this.
Word of advice:
If it's Chinese alternative medicine that you're searching for, go to
an Asian market. For example, Goji Berries are great for
antioxidants and vitamins. A Goji Berry elixir through one of the
organic food stores cost a whopping $30 (on sale). The true form of
Goji Berries at the Asian market only cost me $7.99 per pound. Not only
were Goji Berries at the Asian store cheaper, they were in its purest
form which made it highly superior in comparison to the expensive Goji
Berry drink. |
