Seattle is a cutting edge city as far as naturopathic medicine is concerned. The state of Washington actually offers a certification for doctors there. These are licensed primary care providers and are covered by many insurance companies. My mom saw an alternative medicine doctor when her regular doctors could no longer treat her severe skin cancer. They told her she had 6 months to live. By the advice of her alternative medicine doctor, she started a regiment of many things to combat her disease. Juice made of carrots and celery, Cod Liver Oil, high doses of Melatonin, and protein powder to help her masses wounds heal. Within just a few days, I noticed a difference in the way her cancer looked. It was as though it was drying-up. It has never completely gone away, but she is still with us in reasonable health. This was almost four years ago now.
Alternative medicine doctors have a lot to offer. Don't be frightened to try what they ask. Most of it is painless. When Mom went, we had to pay $250.00 to see her doctor, but now insurance pays more. We only had to see her once, though and she allowed follow-up phone calls. I guess insurance will help pay for alternative medicine doctors now too. Good Luck.
