alternative medicine health care, complementary and alternative medicine I know there are some people who only seek alternative medicine health care or vica versa when the need arises but I think a mix of both alternative and western practices makes for the best treatment. For instance, cancer patients often only have a few options when it comes to treatment. Chemo is almost always the route taken; obviously, this choice puts the patient in a lot of pain. Pain that could be combated by prescription pain killers or something organic like marijuana.

I watched a documentary on the role of marijuana in our culture last night. There were proponents on both sides of the fence. What I found most amazing was a story about a 40 something year old woman who had been battling with a disease that turned her legs into near dead weight. She could walk with arm crutches but it was a struggle. For the past 25 years, she described a constant burning pain in her legs. She decided to take the alternative medicine health care route to see if it was greener on the other side. Not smoking marijuana since a teenager, she decided to try it again to relieve her constant pain. The cameras were rolling as she smoked. Within a few minutes of exhaling she look around the room in wonder and said there was a warm but comfortable feeling running through her legs but the pain was gone. It was amazing, she was crying with joy creating a perfect example of the capabilities of complementary and alternative medicine results. This is the definition of alternative medicine.
