Memory loss need not be considered an inevitable part of growing older. Occasional memory lapses are a natural and normal part of life at any age. I'm sure we all can attest to that! I was a little concerned when I began forgetting more than just: "where did I leave the keys?" So, I researched memory problems on the internet. I learned that with proper diet, nutrition and alternative medicine health care the memory should remain sharp and active well into one's nineties or beyond.
That got my interest, so I researched further into alternative medicine health care for memory loss. A good blood flow is essential to get sufficient nutrients to the brain. If the blood is thick with cholesterol and triglycerides it can block nutrients from getting through and cause the brain to become malnourished.
Alternative medicine health care begins with ginkgo biloba. It is known to increase blood flow to the brain. Other herbs that are helpful for memory include anise, blue cohosh, ginseng and rosemary. Bee pollen may also be helpful. In an effort to maintain my memory for as long as possible I take these supplements along with a multivitamin and minerals every day!
